How to disable "Enforce HTTPS" for GitHub Pages?

"Enforce HTTPS" didn't used to be required. I made a GitHub Pages deployment 12 years ago that doesn't enforce HTTPS. Should be possible to allow HTTP traffic based on GitHub account user preferences.

Yes, I don't want or need GitHub's idea of "enhance security". Turn it off.

That's why I asked this question. I was thinking somebody from GitHub would maybe say, alright, we'll provide that option to users, again, so they can manage their own GitHub Pages.
