Describe the issue you're reporting

Per open-telemetry/opentelemetry-go-contrib/issues/7531, this is the module that Kubernetes is going to move into.

We would have to file a PR similar to open-telemetry/opentelemetry-go-contrib/pull/7533 to replace all imports and requires in go.mods.
