Just to be a bit more specific, this ideas page needs:

  1. Longer descriptions of most of the ideas. I think they make sense within the context of Pylons, but they need to make basic sense to students who have never heard of Pylons and want to know if they should investigate further.
  2. Idea difficulty ratings (I know, mentors hate these, but many of our incoming students don't know enough to figure it out and this helps them a lot)
  3. If you know who's likely to be working on what, listing the mentors also helps the students a lot. (Or equally, just directing them to post all comments on the public mailing list, but some sort of "who to contact if you're interested in this" is useful.)
  4. Some idea of the skills required for each project. Again, lots of new students who are trying to quickly scan 100+ project ideas and figure out how to focus their time.

I'll probably merge the basic info later tonight but put a warning there so students know that the ideas page isn't quite up to our expectations yet.
