recommended way to add additional importmaps?

I was trying to extend the importmaps JSON generated because you can only have 1 importmap on a page.

The best I came up with was the following:

Is there a better way to hook into the generated JSON?

I don't think so. Can't you define those entires in the config/importmap.rb file? Do you want it to be dynamic based on the page you are accessing?

I believe the use case was around per-route importmaps.
