after closing vscode, the plugin still runs

👍 I had this issue as well, but I started running bsb -w manually instead of relying on the plugin.

This shouldn't be related to bsb -w at all though; this is a different binary, called rescript-editor-support

Hm, maybe I had a different issue. I just remember having several (rescript) processes running after restarting vs code several times. I will check if it's the same process that's persisting.

I tried it and I don't get that process in the task manager at all. Very odd.

Just to test I tried running the exe itself and that seems to run fine. It shows up in the task manager. Not sure what's going on. Could it be that the process is hidden by vscode itself? One of it's sub-processes.

That binary is spawn then should die; is that what you see?

I am actually seeing the opposite problem, that the binary isn't launching at all. I'm attempting to debug now.

When I ran the command run in the runDumpCommand the executable runs for a moment then disappears. It runs as a subprocess of the command prompt I'm running. I haven't been able to see this process spin up in the context of vscode but I can say for sure that it's not adding anything at route level.

I also can see it as a part of the node instances running (which I am assuming is the server instance)

Are you still able to repro this? That closing vscode doesn't terminate the process rescript-editor-support? I'm wondering whether the binary is hanging on some calculations.

@chenglou yep. Just had to manually end dozens of processes ten minutes ago.
By the way... sometimes, right after launching build, it throws over permission denied for .sourcedirs.json but deleting the lib folder solves it.
Could it be related?
